How to Clean an Autoclave Water Reservoir Safely

Never introduce a cleaning chemical into the reservoir simply because it is safe for countertops, sinks, or another sterilizer model.
Before handling the reservoir, allow the autoclave to complete its cycle, cool fully, and depressurize according to the operating instructions. Drain and inspect the reservoir

Staff may also confuse chamber cleaning with reservoir cleaning. Both are necessary, but they address different parts of the sterilizer. A spotless chamber does not confirm that the water reservoir, cap, drain path, or water-level system is clean.
Finally, do not ignore repeated water errors after routine cleaning. Replacing parts without identifying the cause can add cost without restoring dependable operation. Persistent alerts, visible internal scale, leaks, irregular filling, or cycle interruptions should be reviewed by qualified service personnel.
